Just curious about the Kwikset Smartkey line of locks.?
I wanted to get some opinions on these new locks.. I just saw them for the first time today.. if anyone owns or has experience with them, what do you think of it? Sales guy told me that they're better quality than schlage, would you agree with that? How does the rekeying work?
i recently purchased the smart key system and i think its pretty cool. you wont have to worry about getting new keys u can use your old key with the new lock. i installed it on my entry door with no problem. i think the quality is just about equal between the two,with the kwikset costing about $10 less.there is a little keyhole next to the main keyhole put the smart key inside.put in the key that comes with the lock(after installation)turn 1/2 way,remove key put in old key turn back up remove smart key. that may not be exact but that's it in a nutshell
